HP's Functional Testing/QTP 11 ASE Upgrade Exam, number HP2-N27, has been structured for individuals already in possession of ASE in Test Scripting using QuickTest Professional v10 certification. That, along with six months of field experience in scripting using QuickTest Professional, automated software testing and the software testing lifecycle, are prerequisite for the HP2-N27. These are individuals such as HP Software certified instructors, and IT professionals who regularly use HP Software, people with knowledge regarding Web interfaces, HTML, VBScript and software testing fundamentals.
The HP2-N27 exam presents 37 multiple choice questions over 90 minutes. A score of 81% is required for a passing grade. The questions on the HP2-N27 are broken down into five different sections. Section one (10%) requires the test taker to configure and manage the Object Repository. In section two (30%), one must add checkpoints, parameterize the script and pass data across multiple tests.
