Professionals who are ProCurve Networking channel partner systems engineers may be qualified to take the HP0-Y20 : ProCurve Adaptive Edge Fundamentals certification exam. End-user network engineers responsible for deploying network solutions may also be qualified.
Before attempting the exam, candidates should be able to handle designing and implementing Adaptive Edge networks. Candidates should also be able to handle performing the initial configuration tasks for ProCurve products. Specifically, candidates are expected to understand Ethernet switches and wireless access points. Other concepts that may be included on the exam include basic network troubleshooting techniques, traffic prioritization, link aggregation, Rapid Spanning Tree, Multiple Spanning Tree, and ProCurve Manager Plus.
